Artist's Biography

    

Jeff began his career in 1952 as a cadet on Woman’s Day magazine. When the magazine was sold, and moved to Sydney he moved to the Australasian Post and Your Garden magazines. In 1965 Jeff moved to News Limited Murdoch papers to become art Director of TV Week and New Idea. At this time he began a successful freelance business.

In 1983 Jeff moved to Mount Martha to become Honorary Park Ranger at Joseph Harris Scout Park where he continued as a freelance artist. In 1990 he moved back to Frankston, met and married Joan Denner, discovered fine art and hasn’t stopped painting ever since.

Jeff has received tuition from artists Greg Allen, Tony Smibert, Brian Armstrong and Jenny McNaughton.

He has won many awards including Best Water Colour Coonabarabran NSW, Best Watercolour Flinders Art Show, Best Watercolour Mornington Rotary Art Show, Highly Commended South East Art Festival Berwick.
